The City of Lincoln Park announced on Apr. 29 that significant road repairs will take place on Goddard Road from Friday, May 1 through Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The construction is set to focus on the stretch between Dix Highway and Fort Street and is subject to weather conditions.

The city said the project aims to improve local infrastructure and ensure safer roadways for residents. Hutch Paving has been contracted to complete the repairs.

Work will occur daily from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. During these hours, only eastbound traffic will be allowed on Goddard Road in the affected area. The city asked motorists to plan alternative routes if possible and noted that street parking along this section of Goddard Road will not be permitted during construction. Residents are encouraged to use designated parking areas away from the construction zone.

Officials acknowledged that such projects may cause temporary inconvenience but emphasized their long-term benefits for community safety and reliability of local roads. “We appreciate your cooperation and patience throughout this process as we work towards enhancing our infrastructure for the benefit of all residents,” according to the city’s statement.

Residents with questions or concerns about the project can contact Ron Rail, an onsite representative from Hennessey, at (734) 307-5760 for assistance.
