On Saturday, April 26, former Oscar A. Carlson High School standout Halie Furkas’ current college team, the Akron Zips, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their third matchup against the Huskies this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at Nan Harvey Field against Buffalo Bulls.
