On Saturday, March 8, former Oscar A. Carlson High School standout Halie Furkas’ current college team, the Akron Zips, won 4-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Murray State Racers.

The game took place at Racer Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Racers this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. at Purdue Fort Wayne Softball Field against Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons.
