On Saturday, March 1, former Huron High School standout Erin Newman’s current college team, the Grand Valley State Lakers, won 11-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Western Oregon Wolves.

The game took place at Legends Way Ballfields. This was their first matchup against the Wolves this season.

The Lakers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 9 a.m. at Legends Way Ballfields against Wilmington Wildcats.
