Wayne County Community College District issued the following announcement on Aug. 21
Get ready for the beginning of the school year with WCCCD’s “Back to School” Rally. The event is Wednesday, August 28 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center in Harper Woods and Friday, August 30 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Downriver Campus in Taylor. The rally features youth and parent workshops, vendors, community resources, dental education, giveaways, entertainment, and more. In addition, attendees will learn about community and educational resources for student success. Free backpacks, school supplies and food will be available while supplies last.
