City of Riverview issued the following announcement on Sept. 12
The Michigan Dept of Health and Human Services has asked the City of Riverview to post the following notice:
On September 14th, Michiganders can go to a participating pharmacy and anonymously pick up a NARCAN kit at no cost. View the map of participating pharmacies which includes several major chains as well as local, independent pharmacies.
NARCAN® Nasal Spray counteracts the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose and is a prefilled, needle-free device that requires no assembly and is sprayed into one nostril while patients lay on their back. Of the 55,008 kits that were purchased, 51,924 kits will be shipped to pharmacies statewide and the additional kits will be distributed on the same day at the Recovery Walk on Belle Isle in Detroit.
