Downriver Real Estate Group issued the following announcement on April 25.
The Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber has issued its recent round of guidance for #Downriver businesses.
1) The SWCRC & Downriver Community Conference are issuing guidance for Downriver job providers and entrepreneurs to help small businesses to prepare for a safe and effective restart of economic activity as the Governor begins to ease restrictions on some businesses. Under Executive Order 2020-59 issued earlier this morning, low contact businesses such as landscaping services and golf courses can begin reopening today. The publication provides safety guidance based on State guidelines and expert advice, and also includes current mandatory guidelines as described in the EO.
2) Congress passed a supplemental bill to replenish small business relief funding which includes an additional $310 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), including $60 billion specifically for community banks and smaller lenders, as well as $75 billion for hospitals, $25 billion for testing, and $60 billion for emergency disaster loans and grants. 3) Facebook has announced a new small business grant program, in which Detroit area businesses are eligible to apply.
