WAYNE COUNTY MICHIGAN: Important improvements to Allen Road and Van Horn Road in the Cities of Trenton and Woodhaven.

Wayne County, Michigan issued the following announcement on July 2

Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements to Allen Road and Van Horn Road in the Cities of Trenton and Woodhaven.

WHAT’S BEING DONE?

Over 3 miles of hot mix asphalt, cold milling and resurfacing, concrete paving, sidewalk and ramp improvements, aggregate base, storm sewers, underdrain, traffic signal modernization and pavement markings on Van Horn Road from east of I-75 to Fox Court and Allen Road from Vreeland Road to West Road in the cities of Trenton and Woodhaven.

WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE?

Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 6, 2020. The project is estimated to be completed by November 2022 barring any unforeseen delays or inclement weather.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

During construction, one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times. Please use caution when driving through work zones. Reduced speeds and load restrictions may be posted. Flaggers will be present as needed during the project. Please use caution when traveling through work zones.
