Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 2.
Our hearts and those of many more are breaking for Christy McDonald and her family. Christy has been there for the Downriver region and most recently helped us in a tremendous way to build up our annual women of achievement awards. She is one of the most passionate, caring and intelligent individuals we have ever met in the media industry. She's been there for us, now let's be there for her. Downriver stands united in supporting Christy and her family during this very difficult time.
