Israel, as a nation, has handled the virus fairly well, managing to develop the innovation needed to fight the pandemic.

“If you look at the stats, Israel has done remarkably better than most,” Davidoff told Smith. "Like many geographies, they've had a spike here and there, and they're defending against that. But they've employed early on unique innovation tools with regards to telemedicine and other avenues to really take a different approach to things.”

Davidoff believes that by looking at how Israel has handled the situation, Michiganders can gain a great deal of expertise in managing the outbreak and subsequent economic downfall stateside.

“We're looking for really a unique high-end production event. And I think it's going to be the beginning of a set of work groups in these segments that, over the next few months, are really digging deep into the Israeli innovation ecosystem and how we can pull pages out of that playbook to help Michigan,” Davidoff said on the radio program.
