City of Taylor issued the following announcement on Sept. 25

All mid-Michigan counties have been downgraded to a medium risk level for coronavirus spread after more than a month in the high risk category. This and more in the Wayne County Report for September 25, 2020.

The state unveiled a revamped MI Safe Start color-coded risk level map with a new set of rankings based on letters. The Detroit and Saginaw regions, which encompass most of mid-Michigan, have been placed at Level C, the third highest. Both regions had been under the second highest risk level on the previous rankings, beginning in mid-August.

According to countywide health data for September 24, 2020, Taylor had just one new confirmed case of COVID-19 (overall total 1,028) and no new deaths (overall 78).
