City of Taylor issued the following announcement.
Through a partnership with Wayne County, the City of Taylor is distributing free reusable face masks to any resident in the community. They are available in packets of five, and
can be obtained through City Hall.
To pick up a packet, just come to City Hall (23555 Goddard Road, at Pine Street) during regular business hours (Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m.). You do
not need to make an appointment. Just go to the north entrance, press the intercom and tell the receptionist that you are here to pick up your free masks. They will be brought out
to you.
If for some reason you cannot travel, we will make free deliveries. Residents can schedule their delivery in the following ways:
Call (734) 287-6550 and press #1 for a customer service representative during regular business hours. They will take your name, address and telephone number and coordinate
delivery.
Email Sam DiCicco (sdicicco@ci.taylor.mi.us) or Karl Ziomek (kziomek@ci.taylor.mi.us) any time to be put on the same delivery list.
Wearing face masks is extremely important during the ongoing pandemic. Masks are a simple barrier to help prevent your respiratory droplets from reaching others. Studies show
that masks reduce the spray of droplets when worn over the nose and mouth. You should wear a mask, even if you do not feel sick.
Free COVID-19 testing is now available at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Course. It is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. This is a drive-
thru testing facility open to anyone in the region. The Lakes of Taylor is located on Northline Road between Telegraph and Beech Daly.
When visiting City Hall, please note that the facility will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
