City of Riverview issued the following announcement on July 21.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
The Riverview Police Department has arranged for many great activities and surprise guests including the Marines and Border Patrol, to name only a couple. There will be food and drinks provided on a first come first served effort. There will be a couple of inflatable waterslides and a bounce house for the children only. Bring bathing suits and towels. There will be games, activities and music.
Things to know: This event is free of charge, bring a folding chair because seating is limited, it is open to all Riverview residents and school of choice families, you do not have to be a neighborhood watch member, rain date is Thursday August 5th if there is lightning or high winds so check this event the day of, bring money in case there are vendors or you wish to make a donation to the RCNW, come have a safe and fun summer evening with your neighbors.
