City of Romulus issued the following announcement on July 22.
Construction Notice Letter: Wayne and Wick Rd Intersection Closure
Dear Romulus Resident,
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this project. While there have been some short tern inconveniences, there will be significant long-term benefit to the region from the improvements to the water distribution system and local roads. Beginning Monday, August 16, GLWA’s contractor will begin installation of the 48-inch transmission main across Wayne Rd which will require a full closure of the intersection for a duration of 3 weeks. During the closure, Wayne Rd traffic will follow the detour along Vining Rd to gain access to either Goddard or Ecorse Rd. Refer to map below:
Please note that all businesses along Wayne Rd are open during this work and can be accessed from there respective sides of the Wick Rd intersection.
