Classic car show to benefit Henry Ford Hospice

City of Southgate issued the following announcement on July 23.

The city of Southgate and the car club the Roam’ n Chariots will host a car show on Saturday, Aug. 7 to benefit Henry Ford Health System’s SandCastles Grief Support Program for children, teens and adults.

The event will be held in front of Southgate city hall and on the adjacent grounds of Veterans’s Memorial Library and Homer Howard Park.

The event runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

All makes of cars, all models of cars and motorcycles are welcome. There is an $8 early registration fee and a $10 fee the day of the event. You must register to show a car. All proceeds go to SandCastles.

There will be dash plaques for the first 125 cars and there will be raffles and door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Food will also be available.

The club also promises games, trivia and fun for the whole family.

You can also register at one of the clubs’ two weekly summertime cruises that occur on Tuesday nights in Taylor at the parking lost at North Line and Pardee and Friday night is Southgate on Eureka Road in the lot between Logan’s Roadhouse and Advance Auto Parts.
