City of Taylor issued the following announcement on Aug 23.
Construction of Van Born Road, from Inkster to Beech Daly (including the intersection and on to Janet Street), is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 30. The project is scheduled to be finished by November 15.
The project will be including milling and asphalt overlay, concrete patching and drainage structure adjustments, ADA ramps, new marking and permanent signing. Restoration of the area will occur after the improvements take place, if possible, during the fall.
During construction, the work will be done in stages. Expect various lane closures and switches. One lane will remain open in each direction during the project. Expect some stoppages.
Property owners should identify and clearly stake all sprinkler locations and underground lines. Unmarked sprinkler systems that are unmarked and are damaged will not be replaced as part of the project.
Any questions concerning the project should be directed to the Wayne County Field Engineering Division (734-858-1891) or Wade Trim and Associates (734-355-8978).
