City of Southgate issued the following announcement on Oct 12.
The Halloween season is upon us and we can’t wait to see what creative decorations Southgate residents have been brewing for this year’s contest! Please read the following rules and information. Happy Haunting!
1. Contest is open to all residents of the City of Southgate.
2. Registration will take place online via email between now and October 25th.
3. You can register your house or a neighbors house by emailing a picture of the house, name, address, and phone number to CASE@ci.southgate.mi.us
4. By registering, participants agree to have their address included on the participating house list that is posted on the City's Social media pages.
5. By registering, participants agree to have photos of their decorations possibly posted on the City's Social media pages.
6. Contest is limited to decorations visible from the street.
7. Judging will take place between October 28th-30th.
8. Judges decisions are final.
9. Rules and information are subject to change.
Judging Categories and Prizes:
1st place - $50 gift card
2nd place - $30 gift card
3rd place - $20 gift card
*Winners will be notified and recognized at a City Council Meeting
