“Letters to Santa” are being accepted through December 15 at the big mailbox in front of the Taylor Recreation Center, 22805 Goddard Road.

“Breakfast with Santa” is being held on Saturday, December 11, in the Lakes of Taylor Banquet facility, 22505 Northline. Great food and program aimed at younger children and families. Call (734-287-2100) or visit the Pro Shop for more information. Event is scheduled for 9-noon. Tickets $15 per person, $8 for children and 3-and-unders are free.

The Taylor Veterans Museum, now located in the Taylor Media Center (23511 Goddard), is hosting “Stocking Stuffers for Heroes” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 11. Stop by the newly expanded museum and find a handy gift for a reasonable price.

“Reindeer Days” are being held this weekend at the Heritage Park Petting Farm, 12803 Pardee Road. Look for Santa Claus and real, live reindeer. Great atmosphere for families and children. Scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, December 11 and 12. Admission $5 per person.

The Taylor Community Chorus performs its holiday concert, “We Need a Little Christmas,” on Sunday, December 12, at the William Ford Senior Activities Center, 6750 Troy. Concert starts at 4 p.m. Adults $5, youths $3 and children under 5 are free.

“The Taylor Winterfest Holiday Stroll” will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 16-18, at Heritage Park. Stroll through beautiful Heritage Park and check out holiday characters like Mr. Grinch, Elsa and Olaf and more. Get your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Watch professional ice carving. Food and drinks available at cost.

Event takes place between 5-9 p.m. each evening. Tickets include the resident family pack (four tickets for $25); individual resident adult ($10) and children ($5); and non-resident adult ($12) and children ($6). Buy tickets here.

This is a scaled down holiday stroll from last year’s “Blizzard of Oz” spectacular. Characters and overall presentation will be the same each evening.
