City of Riverview issued the following announcement on Dec 22.
The Kiwanis of Riverview are partnering with the Riverview Police and Fire Departments to distribute 12” tall stuffed animals.
These stuffed animals were donated to the Kiwanis Club by Nicole Clark of the Woodhaven PetSmart.
These obscenely cute stuffed animals are suitable for children 3 years and older.
We are going to need help repacking them from the large bags they currently in, to individual bags for distribution.
Here’s your chance to get some year-end volunteering in to help others.
We will be at the Riverview Community Center on Tuesday, December 28, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. You’ll be asked to work in pairs to remove the stuffed animals from the large bag, place it in a smaller bag, tie the bag, and put back into the larger bag for distribution.
We have nearly 700 stuffed animals that need to be repackaged.
This shouldn’t take more than an hour and half of your time.
Please respond here if you’d like to help or email me aswift@cityofriverview.com.
Stay tuned for the distribution date and time..
