Free drive-thru COVID testing site reopens January 10

Trellis social media free covid testing 1024x614

City of Taylor issued the following announcement on Jan 7.

A COVID-19 Quality Care Free Drive Thru Testing site is returning to the east side of the parking lot at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Course, 25505 Northline Road. It will open on Monday, January 10. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Remember that this site is a drive-thru located in the parking lot – there is no need to enter the clubhouse area.

The best way to protect yourself and others from the different strands of the Coronavirus and/or the flu, is to wear a face mask, use hand sanitizer, properly social distance from others and see a doctor on a regular basis. Vaccines, along with booster shots, have been available for some time and health agencies recommend their use.

“We are happy to see this site return, given the increase we’re currently seeing in COVID-related cases,” Mayor Tim Woolley said. “We strongly advocate its use. If you feel that you need a test, this drive-thru option is a short distance from anywhere in the City. It’s free, and you receive your results quickly along with any instructions you might need.”

If you are getting a COVID test, please refer to the seven points in the accompanying flyer. Take note that you should bring your health insurance card, but if you do not have health insurance, your test will still be conducted with no out of pocket cost.
