City of Lincoln Park recently issued the following announcement.
The Lincoln Park police department has partnered with Nixle, an online public safety broadcast system, to implement its Community Notification System to alert residents in real-time for localized emergency situations and relevant community advisories.
When an incident occurs, our police department has the capability to send it to either the entire community or a specific area within the community. Any type of notice can be sent to thousands of people within minutes, notifying them of a problem occurring in their area. These notices can range from missing or wanted individuals, to traffic delays, to natural disasters.
