Romulus Community Schools issued the following announcement on Mar 18.
8th Grade students from Romulus Middle School had the opportunity to attend a field trip to the Detroit Historical Museum. Students listened to a historical reenactment of a runaway slave's story and toured the museum. Students walked through the streets of Detriot as if they were in the 1800s and early 1900s. Students learned about the impact that the music and car industries played in Detroit and also what was the reason early settlers wanted to settle in southeast Michigan.
We finished the trip off with lunch at Pizza Papalis. The trip was sponsored through GEAR UP and the students fully enjoyed the experience.
