Congratulations, JV Tennis! They had their first win against Edsel Ford last Thursday!
They also played in a tennis tournament Saturday against Grosse Ile, Woodhaven and Carlson. According to Mrs. Dunholter, "they had a few wins and one medal for 4 singles, Adelih Blaskiewicz. It is not always about the win as they all represented Titan Pride! Meagan Stapleton arrived early and jumped in to help the tournament organizer squeegee all the courts due to the rain. Alexis Hall (pictured below) had large blisters on the bottom of her feet but got her feet wrapped and went out to play her 3rd match of the day! At the end of a long day of matches the Southgate girls were the ONLY team to help the tournament organizer take down all the score cards. They made me so proud with their sportsmanship, attitudes and willingness to help. I have received compliments about our girls from other teams players."
