Update on compost pickup delays across the community

M

Residents should take note that the City of Taylor is working with Priority Waste to eliminate delays in curbside compost collection over the past week. Those delays started when the company experienced an outbreak of COVID-19 in its workforce, and were further complicated by a very high volume of compost at curbsides throughout Taylor.

Priority Waste plans to get the majority of today’s (Tuesday, May 17) routes serviced, with the remainder being done in the morning tomorrow (Wednesday, May 18). The company also plans to finish last Friday's routes immediately. Any resident whose compost was missed over the past several days should leave it at curbside.

This plan could potentially cause a delay in regular pickups scheduled for May 18, but Priority Waste has every intention of being back on its regular schedule by the end of the week.

The City of Taylor regrets any inconvenience caused by these delayed pickups, and will continue to work with Priority Waste to avoid them in the future.
