The Westfield Attendant will be present during events at the Westfield Center in Trenton, Michigan. Events at the Westfield can include activities, classes, meetings, showers, weddings, parties, and more. The Westfield Attendant will be tasked with basic customer service tasks and basic janitorial duties. The Westfield Attendant position has a flexible schedule with shifts available Mornings and Evenings Monday – Friday; and Mornings, Afternoons, and Evenings on Weekends. Responsibilities and Duties
Customer Service
Greet parties as they enter the Westfield Center and answer questions as needed.
Walk each customer through the room checklist upon arrival and before the customer
departs to check for damages.
Janitorial Duties
Responsible for emptying trash cans in each room used and replacing trash bags
Responsible for wiping down tables in rooms used
Responsible for ensuring floor is swept in rooms used
Responsible for ensuring floor is mopped in rooms used
Set room back up after use, if customer does not set room back up
Communication
Communicate any change in schedule to Program Coordinator
Communicate any needed supplies to Program Coordinator
Communicate any emergency situations to Program Coordinator and Parks and Recreation Director
Administration
Use Humanity to submit time sheet each week
Complete the Room Checklist with each customer upon arrival and before the customer’s departure
Complete the Daily Task Checklist and sign off on checklist each shift
Other
Comply with the City of Trenton rules and regulations governing the use of the facility
Regular and Prompt attendance
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands/Environment
Frequently works in indoor conditions.
Frequently stands, walks, use hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
Occasionally sits.
Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Salary and Benefits
Wage: Starting at $12.00 an hour
Days/Session: Shifts Available Mornings and Evenings Monday - Friday; Shifts Available Mornings, Afternoons, and Evenings on Weekends
