KRC Hours: M-F 8:30am - 5pm
Overview:
Skating Coaches are responsible for the on-ice instruction of students during the Learn to Skate program. Skating coaches will work under the direct supervision of the Skating Directors and Operations Manager to successfully utilize the Learn to Skate USA curriculum for all Learn to Skate classes. Pay range $9 - $12 an hour.
Responsibilities:
•Assist in the instruction of students of the Learn to Skate classes.
•Follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum for all classes
•Communicates class goals with parents and students
•Works with students of varying skill levels
•Provide excellent customer service at all times and ensure that all policies are properly implemented.
•Adhering to all policies and procedures that are implemented.
•Complete any necessary paperwork such as accident/incident reports and progress reports.
•Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
•Must be 15 years of age or older.
•Must be able to ice skate
•Familiarity with Learn to Skate USA skating levels preferred
•Must be member of US Figure Skating
•Ability to work lessons taking place on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings
•Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job that are physically demanding.
•Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
•Must be able to work in a cold environment.
