City Council watchers should note that regularly scheduled study sessions have been eliminated, beginning in December 2022.
Council members have discussed the possibility for several weeks. During the body’s November 15 regular meeting, members unanimously voted to eliminate the meetings, which were usually held on the Mondays before the regular Tuesday meetings.
The City Council meeting schedule will continue with regular meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Those meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are open to the public; cablecast live on Comcast and Wow; and live streamed on the City of Taylor’s website.
All council meetings, both live and recorded, can be found here.
This change does not prevent special study sessions or other meetings from being called in the future. Any public meetings will be published by the City Clerk well in advance of scheduled time, and are open to the public.
