In response to the ice storm the City of Trenton work force has been working diligently to keep the community safe through this crisis. Police and Fire have been responding to numerous emergencies and have been doing an outstanding job. DPW has worked tirelessly, first salting the roads and now have been in recovery mode clearing tress and debris to get roads open. All of the above agencies have been extremely responsive and continue to perform exceptionally well. We anticipate a large portion of the cleanup to be completed by late Saturday.

City Hall is open 24/7 as a warming center to the public until further notice. Please feel free to come by as temperatures are much colder today than yesterday. DTE currently anticipates restoring power to 95% of its customers by late Sunday, but we will continue to monitor the situation.

As of this posting, the Kennedy Rec Center, Trenton Library and Westfield Center all remain closed due to lack of power. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work as a community to get things back to normal.
