Of the 1,789,781 citizens living in Wayne County in 2021, 76.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 1,363,035 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 648,471 were male, constituting 47.6%, and 714,564 were female, making up 52.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Wayne County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78.2%.
