On Tuesday, March 18, former Oscar A. Carlson High School standout Halie Furkas’ current college team, the Akron Zips, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons.

The game took place at Purdue Fort Wayne Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Mastodons this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at Margo Jonker Stadium against Central Michigan Chippewas.
