Allen Park Community School recently issued the following announcement.
As we plan for a new school year, we know we are in unprecedented times. We have had parents ask for comprehensive online options, including those designed for a flexible environment, accommodating a fully virtual or online scenario.
Allen Park Public Schools will offer options at each grade level with no time constraints for families. Students would complete assignments at their own pace and receive credit through online learning platforms, which is reciprocated by our district. This would allow your child to easily re-enter Allen Park Public Schools in a more traditional sense, when you are comfortable doing so. For our elementary students, Calvert Learning is the district’s online portal, Courseware at the middle school level, and Edgenuity at the high school level.
We look forward to working with you and developing an individual academic plan that works for you and your child. Please reach out to me, Dr. John Tafelski, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction at tafelski@appublicschools.com if you wish to schedule your child for a full-time online learning program for the 2020-21 school year.
