Ecorse Public Schools recently issued the following announcement.

Ecorse families due to the current COVID situation we are preparing to offer a remote learning option for the 2nd semester (January 31-June 22)

The details of this option are as follows:

6-12  - We are exploring 2 options

1. Students will complete their year on APEX - this is a computer based program with NO live instruction from a teacher

2. If numbers requesting virtual allow -  students will receive live online instruction from an Ecorse teacher. For this option to work there must be enough students at each grade level to allow the scheduling of a teacher for 1 section of virtual instruction.

CTE students MUST be in person to attain state mandated contact hours

K-5

Online instruction from an Ecorse teacher through Google Meet/Classroom

Depending on number of students classes may include multiple grade levels

There is a good chance that your child's teacher will be different from their current teacher

All students who choose one of the options will have to come into the buildings to complete state and local assessments (MSTEP, PSAT, SAT, iReady etc.)

If you choose the remote option for your student they must remain remote for the remainder of the school year - NO EXCPTIONS

Any family choosing remote option will have to come into their students school to fill out an application for our Downriver Digital Academy

Please complete the linked form below to let us know what your choice for the 2nd semester is.
