Over $400M in business grants available through State of Michigan

City of Taylor issued the following announcement on Feb 16.

The State of Michigan is launching a grant program aimed at businesses in an effort to distribute up to $409M in American Rescue Plan Funds. This program is aimed at aiding qualifying businesses negatively affected by the worldwide pandemic.

The application period runs from March 1-31. Informational webinars are being held on February 17 and 22, and again on March 7.

Businesses have to qualify to be eligible for the program, cannot be tax exempt or a governmental entity.

Applicants need to complete an online survey, and must provide the following:

  • Financial documentation and information verifying a decline in total sales.
  • Financial documentation and information verifying fixed costs for calendar year 2020.
  • Beneficiary agreement.
Online applications only, and they are available here. Grants will not be based on a first-come, first-served basis.
